DATUMO – Terms and Conditions of Service

Chapter 1. General Terms and Conditions

Article 1. Purpose

The purpose of these Terms and Conditions of Service (hereinafter referred to as the “Terms”) is to set forth the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Selectstar Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) and users (hereinafter referred to as “Members”) in relation to the use of DATUMO (hereinafter referred to as the “Service”) provided by the Company.


Article 2. Definitions

The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows. Terms not defined herein shall be governed by applicable laws and general business practices.

  1. Service: Refers to DATUMO, an AI evaluation platform developed and operated by the Company, which provides functionalities for dataset management, prompt and model evaluation, metric-based assessment, and performance reporting.
  2. Evaluation Set: A collection of queries, contexts, and expected outputs used to assess model quality.
  3. Response Set: The set of outputs or answers generated by models under evaluation.
  4. Metric Prompt: A prompt or criterion used to evaluate the quality, safety, or factuality of model outputs.
  5. Human Evaluation: A feature that allows human evaluators to assess model performance or generate ground truth data.
  6. Workspace: A logical unit within the Service for organizing evaluation data and results, typically corresponding to a client organization or project.
  7. Member: A person granted access to the Service by the Company, including client personnel or authorized users.

Article 3. Effectiveness and Amendment

  1. These Terms become effective when a Member uses the Service.
  2. The Company may amend these Terms as necessary, provided that such amendments do not violate applicable laws and regulations.
  3. When amendments are made, the Company shall notify Members by posting the revised Terms and their effective date on the Service website and notifying Members through designated communication channels (e.g., email or official project communication) at least seven (7) days prior to the effective date (thirty (30) days if unfavorable to Members).
  4. If a Member continues to use the Service after the effective date, such use shall be deemed as consent to the revised Terms.

Article 4. Protection of Personal Information

The Company shall handle Members’ personal information in accordance with applicable laws and its Privacy Policy, which is clearly posted on the Service website.


Chapter 2. Use of Service

Article 5. Account Issuance and Management

  1. Members may create an account through the Service's sign-up process by providing the required information (e.g., email and name). Accounts may also be issued directly by the Company through designated business or partnership channels.
  2. Upon sign-up, a Workspace is automatically created for the Member. Accounts issued by the Company may be associated with a Workspace designated by the Company or its client organization.
  3. Members may not independently create, invite, or manage additional users.
  4. Access levels (e.g., Administrator, Editor, Viewer) are assigned and managed solely by the Company.
  5. Members may modify their name directly within the Service. For other account information changes (e.g., email, organization), the Member shall notify the Company through the designated support channel.
  6. The Company may restrict, suspend, or revoke an account if the Member violates these Terms or engages in unauthorized or harmful activity.

Article 6. Data Management and Usage

  1. Data uploaded or generated during Service use (including evaluation sets, prompts, model outputs, and evaluation results) may be stored and processed solely for the purpose of providing, maintaining, and ensuring the reliability of the Service.
  2. The Company may collect and analyze usage logs, metadata, and evaluation outcomes for technical maintenance and service quality assurance.
  3. The Company shall not use or disclose any Member data for purposes unrelated to Service operation without prior consent.
  4. All Member data shall remain the property of the Member or its organization.
  5. Members may request correction or deletion of data; however, such actions may be subject to administrative approval to maintain evaluation integrity within a Workspace.

Article 7. Provision and Use of Service

  1. The Service provides functionalities including:
    1. Query and metric generation for model evaluation;
    2. Automatic and human-based scoring of model responses;
    3. Comparative analysis of models and evaluation sets;
    4. Visualization and reporting of performance metrics.
  2. The Company may modify, enhance, or discontinue certain functions as part of Service improvement efforts.
  3. Members shall use the Service in accordance with the instructions and policies provided by the Company.

Article 8. Availability of Service

  1. The Service is generally available 24 hours a day, except during maintenance or technical issues.
  2. The Company may temporarily suspend the Service for updates, maintenance, or unavoidable system failures. In such cases, the Company shall make reasonable efforts to notify Members in advance or as soon as practicable afterward.

Article 9. Beta or Pilot Programs

  1. The Company may provide beta or pilot versions of the Service to select Members for testing or evaluation purposes.
  2. Such beta services may be changed, suspended, or terminated without prior notice.
  3. Data generated or uploaded during a beta program shall be retained or deleted in accordance with the client’s written instructions.

Article 10. Service Provision and Access Terms

  1. The Service is provided to organizations, institutions, or corporate clients designated by the Company under separate agreements or requests.
  2. The Company reserves the right to determine the scope, duration, and level of Service access for each client.
  3. Future updates regarding paid plans, billing, or service levels may be announced separately and incorporated into an updated version of these Terms.

Article 11. Account Termination

  1. Members may request account termination through the Company’s support channel.
  2. Upon termination, all associated personal information and access credentials shall be deleted in accordance with applicable laws and internal policies.
  3. The Company may also terminate an account if it deems the Member to have violated these Terms or engaged in unauthorized activity.

Chapter 3. Rights and Obligations

Article 12. Obligations of the Company

  1. The Company shall endeavor to provide a stable Service and maintain system security and reliability.
  2. The Company shall comply with these Terms and the Privacy Policy and take necessary technical and administrative measures to protect Members’ personal and evaluation data.
  3. The Company shall make reasonable efforts to respond to inquiries, suggestions, or complaints raised by Members.

Article 13. Obligations of Members

  1. Members shall use the Service in good faith and comply with all applicable laws and the Company’s usage policies.
  2. Members shall not:
    • Access or attempt to access unauthorized areas or data;
    • Modify, copy, or distribute any part of the Service without permission;
    • Upload illegal, infringing, or malicious content;
    • Engage in activities that may harm or disrupt the Service or other users.

Article 14. Intellectual Property Rights

  1. All intellectual property rights related to the Service, including its software, design, and structure, belong to the Company.
  2. Ownership of data, evaluation sets, and materials uploaded by Members shall remain with the respective Member or its organization.
  3. Members are granted a limited, non-transferable right to use the Service only within the scope defined by the Company.

Article 15. Warranty Disclaimer

  1. The Service is provided for research and internal evaluation purposes only and on an “as is” basis without any warranty, express or implied, regarding its accuracy, performance, or suitability for a particular purpose.
  2. The Company shall not be liable for any loss arising from Members’ expectations of specific outcomes or performance improvements.

Article 16. Unauthorized Use and Security

  1. Members shall not reproduce, disassemble, reverse-engineer, or otherwise modify the Service.
  2. Members shall not install or use any malicious code, exploit, or external tool that interferes with the Service’s operation.
  3. Any unauthorized or harmful activity may result in immediate suspension or termination of access.

Article 17. Confidentiality

Both the Company and Members shall maintain the confidentiality of all technical, operational, and evaluation-related information obtained through the Service.

Such obligations shall continue even after the termination of Service use.


Article 18. Support and Inquiries

Members may contact the Company for technical support, data-related inquiries, or other matters through the designated communication channels (e.g., llm_eval@selectstar.ai) or through the assigned project liaison.


Article 19. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Seoul Central District Court, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
